  11.                                Mouse Information
  12.  
  13.            Here is the mouse version of "The Magic Candle II". It does not
  14.          support EGA or Tandy 16-color graphics! Check the game manual for
  15.          information on how to control the mouse.

  17.                             Sound Card Information:
  18.  
  19.           The MC2INST program automatically detects machine hardware but 
  20.          some Sound Blaster and Adlib compatible cards may show as 'no 
  21.          sound board'. You will be allowed to override that and choose the 
  22.          board that your card is compatible to. The program does not 
  23.          automatically detect a Roland sound card, but will allow you to 
  24.          choose Roland for music (you can also choose Adlib or Sound 
  25.          Blaster for sound effects if you have that board also installed).

  27.           Optionally, Sound Blaster owners may wish to try both Adlib and 
  28.          Sound Blaster settings for sound effects and then choose the one 
  29.          that you like best.

  31.                                 IBM DEMO NOTE:

  33.            As a special feature, players playing the IBM Playable Demo 
  34.          may transfer all their save games from the demo into this game by 
  35.          installing this complete version into the same directory in which the
  36.          Demo is currently installed on the hard drive (do not delete your 
  37.          existing files in that directory).

  39.                            SPECIAL GAME INFORMATION:
  40.  
  41.            During the course of your hero's adventures in 'Magic Candle II', 
  42.          your characters will have a chance to learn special "songs" that will
  43.          enable them to both entertain the party as well as magically effect
  44.          certain monsters. It is up to the characters to find out which songs 
  45.          exist, who can teach that song (to those with musical ability), what 
  46.          instrument is used to play the song, and what special effects (if any) 
  47.          that song will produce when played. A song which produces special
  48.          effects will sound like just another tune unless played in the 
  49.          correct situation.

  51.           As described in the game manual, hero profile E starts the game
  52.          with several musical instruments as well as several songs known.
  53.          To learn which songs known can produce magical effects, he must
  54.          still uncover clues throughout his adventures or by experimentation.

  56.          HINT: Using the Lyre when encountering slimes will play the song 
  57.                "Mage's Joy" and lull the slimes to sleep.

  78.         Information on "MAGIC CANDLE II" Install Program (MC2INST.EXE)
  79.  
  80.          If the install program has problems scanning your hardware, an 
  81.         option has been added to allow you to skip this function. Due to 
  82.         the fact that no hardware was scanned all the questions will 
  83.         default and when you select options it will tell you that you do 
  84.         not have that particular hardware. However, you can override 
  85.         the default options and enter the correct settings for your machine.
